I train at Altitude Academies, a high performance sports academy and boarding school located in Port St. Lucie, Florida. I made this decision last summer after spending two weeks training at the academy, realizing that the rigorous program and possibilities to compete would be invaluable.
I feel fortunate to truly love the sport. Moving to South Florida on my own, away from my family and friends, was difficult at first, but I love the time training and competing. If anything, this experience has convinced me of my desire to play college tennis and my dedication to being the best that I can.
I am working hard to improve my game, playing in several tournaments a month, and plan to train until I finish high school. I understand that this sport takes a lot of hard work, but that does not discourage me. This is what motivates me to play, and in fact my coaches at the academy keep complimenting my work ethic.
Coaches tell me I am very coachable and bring lots of positive energy to the court every time I practice. I want to be a real contributor to my college team.
While tennis means a lot to me, my academics are also important in my overall goals, which is another reason why attending a great college really matters to me. I have maintained a rigorous academic schedule, taking several honors courses, and currently have a 3.92 GPA

I hit some backhands, forehands, volleys, overheads and a few spot serves and finish with some live UTR match play.
